Study Strategies (Prepare to Learn Workshop)
Academic success is rooted in daily study behaviour. This workshop will address how the brain takes in information, digests, and stores course content within the long-term memory. Moreover, you will leave the workshop with useful tips on when and how to read text books, listening and note-taking strategies, and time management techniques.
This workshop is part of the Prepare to Learn workshop series designed to provide incoming students with skills and resources to help them transition to learning at Fanshawe College. Go to this link for more information: https://www.fanshawelibrary.com/ptl/
This workshop will be recorded and posted in a complementary FOL course. This non-credit FOL course will also offer extra resources and tools to help students. Students can self-register for this course on FOL. Go to the FOL home page, and use the dropdown menu Resources to select Self-Registration and then register in Prepare to Learn (if you run into difficulty during this process, contact one of the helpful staff at the Library Learning Commons at llc@fanshawec.ca).
Registration from May 10 to the day of the event.
